Business:

AIG is large conglomerate of more than 130 Insurance companies. Today, the Accident and Health division of AIGCS utilizes the mainframe based claims system called Processor I. This system was developed in the early 1990s and was used to support AIG's life insurance business. A&H, unit recently, as part of the Life Division, to handle some specific requirements of A&H business. However, due to limitations of the mainframe technology, some A&H business requirements had to be handled using parallel systems and involving duplicate entry of data. This activity takes around 4 to 6 hrs. Additionally, where the system modifications were not possible, the employees utilize tedious workflow solutions in order to use the current system to process AHClaims. The goal of this project is to develop a fully integrated Web based Claims system that will enhance the quality and efficiency of our claims processing. The solution must also address the various data inputs and outputs as defined in the AIGCS claims environment. Now the newly developed system enabled the user to do the whole activity within 15 min.

Business:

The Application is Called IT Configuration-Asset Management (ITCAM) Application. Details (attributes) of hardware devices (assets) belonging to P&G need to be captured through this system. The hardware devices are: NT boxes, UNIX boxes, Routers, Mainframes etc. There are around 250 attributes to be captured for each hardware device, which will be done through the system. In Phase 1 of the project, details will be captured only for NT and UNIX boxes. P&G already has some of the data for these hardware devices and these will be provided to us in the form of text file. Java Servlet is scheduled to read the text files, validate the data and dump into the ITCAM database. The data, which cannot be collected automatically, will be filled manually using the data entry interfaces/screen. There is an existing Service Desk application, which requires some of the data that will be captured from the system.
This application has 3-tier Architecture with Oracle 8i back-end and Java application running on a JRun Server and a front-end web-based client. This application has to be web-enabled, i.e. allow users to access/ update records via browser.

Business:

Development of a Web Application for a US based Company "Utilities Smart.com" that primarily focuses on given Systems based recommendation to its Customer on their Utility Bills. This was a joint venture with a data aggregator that gets the real time Customer Utility Information. The Usage Pattern of their Customers was aggregated in the System. System also gathered the real time plans available in the market from the Service Providers web site. A set of Algorithms provided by the Customer were developed that would perform calculations on the Usage Patterns and Plans and would advice the customer with the Best Plans suited for his Usage Pattern. System also supported facility for switching plans. This site is published as www.expenseadvisor.com
